The Waverly Historical Society Welcomes you to come visit and enjoy the extensive collection of items related to Waverly's past nicely displayed in their museum located at 435 Chemung Street Waverly, NY 14892.
Don Merrill, a life long collector of "All Things Waverly", was instrumental in the founding of the Waverly Historical Society. Don donated his vast collection of items, pictures, and memorabilia regarding Waverly to the Waverly Historical Society. Many of the items actually pre-date the Village of Waverly itself. In the early 1800's, the eastern part of Waverly was referred to as "Factoryville", the central part in the 1830's was referred to as "Villemont", and the western part referred to as "Shepardsville".
